Aoife Rooney

Hello, and welcome to my portfolio. I’m a final-year Business student at Ulster University, passionate about transforming data and ideas into meaningful action through an analytical yet people-focused approach. I see business as both an art and a science where creativity meets structure and insight drives results. I created this portfolio to share more than what a CV can: a glimpse into my academic achievements, volunteer work, and the experiences that have shaped me as both a student and a future professional. Please explore to learn more about my journey and the values that guide me every day.

About Aoife

Hi, I’m Aoife (pronounced E-fa). I am studying for BSc in Business Studies(Hons) in my final-year at Ulster University with a curiosity for how people, numbers, and ideas come together to make things work. I hold an HND in Business Studies and am currently completing a one-year top-up to achieve my full degree.

I’m passionate about learning and exploring new hobbies, which has encouraged me to gain extra qualifications outside my main studies including a Classic Eyelash Extension course and a Level 2 qualification in 2D CAD design. I’m also currently attending night classes to learn Irish, something I’ve wanted to do for years as a way to stay connected to my roots and challenge myself with a new skill.

I’m always drawn to roles that help me grow personally and professionally. Working on the Sainsbury’s pizza counter strengthened my interest in cooking and customer service, while my current position as a Sales Assistant at Boux Avenue has helped me develop hands-on experience in visual merchandising ,a skill I continue to refine with enthusiasm.

Outside of work and study, I love spending time outdoors with my dog, Otis, and discovering new cafés and local spots with friends. Those moments remind me that curiosity in work, language, and life is what keeps me moving forward.
